Midlands Floor Screeding are the Midlands approved installer for various Fast Drying Screeds. With Fast Drying Screeds MFS can offer a strong, reliable and sustainable floor is a quality screed that will deliver the strength required to meet the Category A or BRE screed test standards (as per BS 8204-1), and which will do so quickly to allow for the speedy installation of final floor finishes.
Semi-dry cementitious screeds with Fast Drying Additives provide some of the most robust screed layers available, making them ideal for projects facing difficult programme requirements.
Ardex provide MFS with three fast drying screed options Ardex A35, Ardex A38 and Ardex A29, these products come bagged with just sand and water added to produce the high strength fast drying screed. These three systems are semi-dry cementitiousscreeds that combines consistency, high strength, rapid installation and excellent moisture control with the ability to add several bolt-on subfloor systems such as underfloor heating and acoustic insulation. The Tarmac Cemscreed range is very similar composition but has slightly slower drying time.
Retanol Xtreame contains a proprietary plasticising and accelerating admixture used to modify and enhance the performance of sand and cement based screeds, Retanol Xtreame is chosen for its ability to consistently deliver a strong level platform on which to quickly lay a variety of floor finishes – including tiles, carpet, wood, vinyl and resin. Curing times are as fast as 2-4 days compared to the typical seven-day cycle of traditional sand and cement screeds.

We have installed Ardex screed into the University of Birmingham Library, Bromsgrove Leisure Centre and Wednesbury leisure Centre.
